a couple of months ago i came up with an idea to sell framed art on etsy, but i gave up after making just a few because international shipping etc seems too complicated lol. and so i'm finally getting round to posting these, plus a card i made for my bf's birthday.
once again it's been ages since i've blogged lol. course finished 3 weeks ago and for that 3 weeks i've had a cold. i have a 4 month holiday until i start my next course (diploma in computer graphic design) and in that time i'm planning to do heaps of scrapbooking, keep up with excercise, do my holiday homework (reading the required books and drawing) and hopefully getting a job. oh and i'm dating one of the guys that was in my class. who would've thought the quietest person and the loudest person in class would get together lol. but anyways, these are my newest layouts, the first 2 i was working on during course and only just finished.

so a week ago it snowed here in wellington. it hasn't snowed here for 16 years so it's a pretty big deal lol.
i was visiting my grandma when it started and we ended up staring out the window for way to long because by the time we left the ground was completly covered in snow. my dad had to drive us home (at least it was only a couple minutes drive) and he was scared of skidding in the snow. it was kinda weird only being able to see out the front window, it felt like we were under a bridge.
so on the first day of snow i threw some snowballs, took heaps of photos and even attempte to snowboard (but i couldn't figure out how to get the boots on the board lol).
the second day i thought the snow was gone, but when i was walking home in hte afternoon, it started again and i had to walk through it for about 20 minutes. i was completely frozen when i got home and my handss were really numb, when i finally thawed out my hands they burned for hours.
and on the third day i got all ready for course, walked to the letterbox and started sliding down the driveway. i'm glad my mum was there to pull me back up and after a couple of minutes watching other people somehow manage to walk through the snow i decideed my gripless shoes probably weren't going to get me to the bus stop safely and i stayed home instead. i debated with myself all day whether or not i should go outside and build a snowman, but i decided against it because i didn't want to freeze my hands off again. kinda dissapointed that i decided against it but oh well lol, at least i sated nice and warm.

so it's been yet another month since i've blogged lol. i haven't really done much scrapbooking in the last 2 months because my room is a pig sty and it's winter, so i'd rather sit in the lounge each night infront of the fire place than sit in my cramped cold room lol. i'm getting the urge to do some more scrapping, so i guess it's time to clean my room, and since my brother's moved out, i can use his room for storage. i'm gonna have to do a huge hunt for photos that i haven't scrapped yet.

last week's assignment was a magazine assignment and i chose to do mine about scrapbooking. it was so much fun and it turned out awesome. my tutor is into scrapbooking too lol and took a copy for herself coz she loved it.
those are the first ever sketches i've made lol. just a quick 5 minute job in adobe illustrator, but i guess they look pretty good for a first time.
and this was for the me, myself and i assignment, which i did in the style of a scrapbook layout.
and lastly, a card i made for my brother.

hmm i haven't blogged or scrapped in a month lol, but i think it's time for an update. this is the 4th week of course and lot's has happened. on the second day my nana passed away. she was 3 weeks away from turning 85. my dad and bro visited her the weekend before she passed away and she asked my bro what i'm doing and when he told her i was starting a design course the very next day, her face lit up. i ended up missing 4 days of course to go up north for the funeral, luckily i didn't miss much. i've had a cold for the last 3 weeks, which is getting really annoying, it's almost gone at least. my brothers moving to the south island tomorrow for a mining course, then after that he might move to australia, so he won't be taking my junk food anymore lol. anyway's, my assignment this week is about me, so i get to do a project which includes a lot of scrapbooking, which is awesome, coz i've been too busy and tired to do any scrapbooking for the last month. i should go make a start on this assignment. ttfn.

i'm leaving Punky Scraps to have a go at being on other teams, also i'm starting a 15 week graphic design course in a week, so i'm not sure if i'll even have time to be on a team. but i've really enjoyed being a punky scraps rebel and working with some talented designers.
